Jet Stores 2019 Baby of the Year Competition winners

WE speak babies fluently and we definitely got everyone cooing and babbling – 2019 was raining adorable little cherubs and the cuteness overload wowed us in a big way. The babies definitely gave voters a tough time and you will know why when you see who is walking away with the trophies for this edition of Jet Baby.

The votes have been received and we are thrilled to announce the winners of the Jet Baby of the Year 2019 Competition.

Winners were selected by public vote. Two winners each were selected from the 0-12 months category and one winner per category for the 13-24 months age group – resulting in 16 adorable babies walking away with the shared prize of clothes valued at over ZWL15 000.

Selection Process

For the preliminary stage, over 2 000 entries were received. Our independent judging panel were blown away by the cute babies, not to mention the thought and effort that went into each individual entry. Only 36 winners were selected per category per region — that is the northern and southern region.

Voting

This time we showed up and showed off in a big way. Voters were spoilt for choice. Over and above the usual instore voting process, this year, we had a new addition to the voting process, which was done digitally via WhatsApp. The responses to the new voting platform were nothing short of amazing. Tied to a purchase of any amount, people could vote for their favourite baby once on this platform. Only people residing in Zimbabwe were legible to vote. For in-store voting, the key word was Spend!

And one could vote as many times as they wanted. The competition ran for two months from July 17 to September 27 2019.The brand partnered with the Ministry of Health and Child Care for the supplementary feeding competition. It was nearly impossible to choose the winners for this year’s competition, but the votes determined the winners. Congratulations to:
